It's Elementary! This kicks ---!

Ok, ok. I know what you're thinking. "Two posts of Bryan in a row? I thought this blog was dedicated to the boys. His ego is really getting to be too much!" Hey, I didn't ask the butterfly to land on my head. Nor did I ask our friend to draw me in historical context.

Long story short - one of Cindy's friends had a matter that required my assistance. I took care of it on a courtesy basis (free of charge). Her husband, Alan Dingman, is an exceptional artist having completely illustrated a Stephen King children's book (yes, he wrote one) and painted a portrait of Tiger Woods for Golf Digest (Tiger personally approved it). Alan has sold many of his works.

She aked if I would like Alan to sketch / draw me as a token of their appreciation. I was flattered and naturally didn't think much of it until he personally followed up with me and requested a photo. I directed him to my Facebook / LinkedIn profiles because we were visiting Kansas at the time and those were readily available pics of me. Cindy always told me how talented he was but I never had the opportunity to see any of his work. Until tonight. After laying his gift on me, he showed me numerous other works. They are all very impressive.

For those who can, compare my Facebook photo to the drawing. The face is identical. The Sherlock Holmes theme was my response to his request for a character or historical figure to model the drawing after.
