No, it's not a dog. Nor a cat. It's Betty the Betta fish. You may not know this but Betta is Latin for "one day wonder".
Now Mommy bought the junior aquarium for Quinn as a Christmas gift. When I say aquarium, I mean the plastic tank. Daddy had to explain to her that fish require more than tap water to survive. So Daddy actually read the manual and brought Quinn to the local Petco and bought the other 4 items necessary to sustain marine life. A sincere effort was made to properly prepare Betty's new home.
Optimism is running high that Betty will be with us for a long time. However, the Highland Marine Life Funeral Home (downstairs toilet) is on standby and Quinn has been assured we will not give up if Betty's life is cut tragically short.
