1 Wedding, 1 Anniversary, A [cancelled] Parade, and A Trampoline

Golly gee, we were busy.  The long weekend kicked off with a late Saturday night fondue anniversary dinner for Mommy and Daddy.  Lots of fun.   The gutbusting meal was followed quickly by a Sunday morning wedding and reception for Daddy's longtime college friend, Lt. Stuart Wohl of the NYPD.  It was Quinn and Jack's first wedding and we were happy to be a part of it.  In fact, in accordance with Jewish law, Daddy served as one of two important witnesses to the wedding itself and had to sign both the marriage certificate and written religious pact between Stu and his expectant wife, Kanna.  They couldn't get married without me!

An early morning thunderstorm and rain cancelled today's town Memorial Day parade which was too bad.  Jack and the Highland Village Nursery School students were scheduled to ride in a float which Cindy helped put together after yesterday's wedding.  Jack debuted his new hairstyle - courtesy of yours truly - at the impromptu "lets put the kids on the float anyway" photo op.  The float was garaged inside a cold storage facility overnight and was protected from the storm.  Ask Cindy about all the great photos the staff at the cold storage facility had on the walls.

When we weren't busy running around, or scraping and painting the porch columns, the boys spent hours on a neighbor's huge trampoline and riding their bikes while we drank.  " ... Sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing  (sniff sniff)".

Gloomy is the Spring ... Except when it comes to our Sunny Family

Man, have we had alot of rain ... and clouds ... and overall ick.  The only thing that the dreary wet weather has been good for is our lawn.  It has never looked better.

The weather has certainly not stopped the boys from growing.  Quinn and Jack continue to thrive in school and have continued to befriend every child within the 3 block radius of our home.  New friends are crawling out of the woodwork. We are truly blessed to have so many good children and families immediately around us.  Ask me how blessed we are in 7 years which coincides with the height of Quinn's teen years and if we're lucky, the "next" Rapture.

Quinn came home with nearly straight A+ in April.  Ok, so he got an A in something.  I forgot what.  Give'em a break wouldya?   He also seems to be following in Daddy's way of befriending and winning over teachers.  It is amazing how history repeats itself.

The countdown to Jack's departure from preschool is on.  Let the field trips begin!  Jack got back on his high horse as demonstrated below.  Cindy is hard at work fundraising for his school's graduation party by asking Daddy to fundraise for the school.  She does work hard.

Daddy has spent alot of time training Skittles the cat to carry her weight in the house.  For those keeping score at home, Cat 2, Rodents 0.  One mouse and now one chipmunk.  It's a damn zoo back there and Skittles brings balance to the cycle of life.  I can't wait for squirrel pot pie.
